Texas Health Resources Patient Sitter-PRN-Rotating Shift-THFW in Fort Worth, Texas

Patient Sitter with Great Growth Opportunities for a PRN position at Texas Health Fort Worth.

Texas Health Fort Worth seeks to hire a Patient Sitter to work on a PRN or as needed basis.

This opportunity will provide support for our Fort Worth hospital location at 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth, TX 76104.

The work schedule for this opportunity will be rotating to cover the day shift or the night shift starting at either, 7a (0700) or at 7p (1900) depending on the need.

The salary range for this opportunity ranges from $13.00 to a maximum of $16.82 based on relevant experience as listed on your resume.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess the following qualifications:


High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Certifications Required

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support with

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, within 60 days of hire.

Stays in room, as appropriate, and watches patient at all times.

Collects data on patient's activities/verbalization as requested and reports findings to nurse.

Reports any unusual verbal or physical activities via call bell, emergency call bell, or Vocera.

Coordinates with staff when lunch, dinner, or restroom break needed.

Notifies staff for any patient requests, such as bathroom, re-positioning.

In collaboration/consultation with nurse, incorporates cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.

Attends training and education appropriate to care setting and practice

Takes action to protect patient rights and/or preferences.

Follows chain of command.

Participates in the process improvement activities within the department/hospital as requested

Follows accepted scheduling guidelines.
