Here you’ll interact daily with team members during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our internal customers and their responsibilities.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, you will be responsible for ideation, design, implementation of critical strategic initiatives. We have three production facilities located here in Fort Worth. You will help bring a strong focus to continuously improving both our team and our processes.

What do we want to know about you?

The Lead Materials Planning & Execution Specialist will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes within the Texas Mining organization. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise related to data mining, Oracle ERP system, and materials to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (or an Associate’s Degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a production planning, production control, sourcing or configuration control role)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, production control, sourcing, or configuration control

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements and best practices

  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities at one time

  • Ability to develop, lead, and challenge a team of analytical material experts

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP system

  • Knowledge of shop operations, facilitations, production control, manufacturing or materials functions

  • Familiar with production control systems and routines

  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills

  • Self-starter and takes the initiative to identify and implement new ideas

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with PowerBI, Excel, Access, or other data analytic tools

  • Experience with Web ADI/Data Loader

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide accurate inventory forecast and walk variances/create ad hoc reports as needed and report to OpEx/Material Executives

  • Drive inventory reduction initiatives to improve inventory turns

  • Develop and implement initiatives to reduce excess/zero demand inventory (EZDI), non-conforming inventory, etc.

  • Develop and implement measures to improve inventory accuracy, lead annual physical inventory

  • Develop and implement inventory strategies to address customer order variation and supply chain disruptions

  • Set and maintain Oracle item attributes per corporate and site level material strategies

  • Create and publish weekly pegging report for MTA materials shortage tracking

  • Analyze system data on a set rhythm to troubleshoot planning disruptions or inaccuracies

  • Maintain release schedule for SISCO material

  • Work closely with configuration and control/cut-in specialist to ensuring planning accuracy

  • Act as TXO point of contact for VMI material and chemical shortage tracking

  • Complete monthly BULK sub-inventory analysis and write off

  • Develop metrics and tools for monitoring TXO materials health/system integrity level

  • Provide leadership to other process improvement

  • Actively participate in a Teaming driven culture

  • Additional responsibilities/tasks as required

  • Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE

  • Walking, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands on learning process
