Occupational Therapist (O.T.) – PRN

Great opportunity with flexibility!

  • Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 and Texas Health Clearfork, 5400 Clearfork Main St, Ft. Worth, TX 76109

  • Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis, Day hours/flexible schedule, with Occasional weekend day or holiday (when the holiday falls on a Monday or Friday).

Here’s What You Need

· Bachelor's Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program Required.

· No Experience necessary; Prefer 1 year acute care Occupational Therapy experience.

· Acute Care experience is preferred.

· OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire Required And

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.

· Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.

· Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

What You Will Do

  • Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

  • Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

  • Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home

programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

  • Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

  • Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel

  • Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
