KPS Global, LLC Manager Engineering in Fort Worth, Texas
KPS Global (KPSG) is the North American industry leader in the manufacture, production, and installation of Walk-in Coolers and Freezers. KPSG’s end-product serves many channels within the retail food market as well as industrial applications. KPSG is based in Fort Worth, Texas with Engineering activities centralized in the Fort Worth facility (along with Finance, Human Resources, Customer Operations, Sales, and Installation Services), supporting product manufacturing in five locations: Fort Worth; Piney Flats, TN; Goodyear AZ; San Dimas CA, and Conyers, GA.

Develop into a product expert: the designs, understanding what we do well (and areas needing improvement), field installation challenges, design cause and effect(s), overarching engineering standards (ICC, ASHRAE and others), and Team development and growth

Responsibilities
Developing a sound working relationship with key functions, i.e. Customer Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Construction Services and Finance
Champion the advancement of existing and New Product Development concepts both product and process to reduce cost (material and labor), simplify the design, and add customer value supporting KPSG’s engineered solutions offerings
Understand product warranty issues (COPQ) and develop (lead and participate) solutions that prevent reoccurrence through poke-yoke engineering solutions. Success will demand in-depth understanding of current design offerings, manufacturing practices, and installation techniques
Participate in business strategy development, the annual budgeting (and control process) and business performance reviews as part of the Senior Leadership Team
Be visible on the factory floor supporting and driving continuous improvement as a mindset
Understand product installation, promote design changes that simplify and reduce cost. Provide periodic field product performance evaluations, understand and act on outcomes
Support R&D with new product development (NPD) and introduction through the tollgate process to vet, communicate, and promote value-added products and concepts
Stay abreast of regulatory changes (Department of Energy-DOE, National Sanitation Foundation-NSF, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and others) and manage business changes accordingly to assure compliance
Required Experience
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering. Master of Business Administration or Engineering desired
Demonstrated success in leading teams within the engineering discipline. Proven management skills with five (5) years minimum in a managerial capacity
Background must include time in new product development / product innovation. Success in developing a roadmap wins, with top and bottom-line achievements
Strong project management, quantitative and analytical skills
Lean / Continuous Improvement training (Toyoda Production Principles)
Cross-functional managerial assignments desirable – Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Quick study in manufacturing processes
Operate with a visible high energy style, challenge status-quo, be appropriately out-spoken
Will manage between 5-8 direct reports
Up to 20% travel requirement
