Job Description

The Store Detective's primary responsibility and role is to identify, observe, and apprehend individual's committing external thefts within their assigned site. Each Detective is charged with maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the execution of his or her duties within the site. The Store Detective must maintain both written and oral communication with all store personnel, outside agencies (I.E. Law Enforcement and the court system), and their Loss Prevention Manager.

All candidates must have their own reliable transportation with Store Detective experience in a Retail environment.

Candidates must be able to travel outside of public transportation.

Weekly Pay- $19-$20/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Must have 1-2 years of Loss Prevention Experience

  • Must be willing to travel to multiple locations throughout an 8 hour shift

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must possess strong written and verbal skills in order to prepare case paperwork

  • You will be required to testify in court proceedings as a representative of Metro One LPSG

  • Must satisfy all state licensing requirements

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays appropriate to retail business needs

  • Must be able to stand or walk sales floor for entire scheduled shift. (8+ hours).

Qualifications:

  • Contribute to overall shortage reduction

  • Recover assets and or make safe apprehensions

  • Ensure compliance with company apprehension guidelines

  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff and management

  • Ability to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on company apprehensions guidelines

  • Participate in weekly management meetings

  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process and continuously meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
