Lockheed Martin F-16 Aircraft Field Engineer Senior Staff OCONUS (Turkey) in Fort Worth, Texas

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as an In-Country F-16 Field Service Engineer (FSE). This position is located in Eskisehir, Turkey. This is a minimum of a two year accompanied spouse only assignment.

This position will serve as the F-16 Avionics and APG Field Service Engineer (FSE) / Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) to support the Turkish Air Force by providing on-site advice, liaison, and informal training in the installation, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems related to all F-16 systems on and off the aircraft. The FSE will support over 200 F-16s from 7 different bases within Turkey. The objective of the FSE is to elevate the technical skill and abilities of the personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of F-16 aircraft and associated equipment/systems to a level of self-sufficiency.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide on-site/on-equipment informal unit training to the component level on installation, maintenance and operating techniques pertaining to the adjustment, calibration, trouble-shooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection and repair of the prime equipment/system.

• Provide advice in the identification of and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment, aerospace ground equipment (AGE) and test equipment associated with and related to F-16 aircraft and avionics systems.

• Devise local informal training programs and provide advice in identifying needed training programs. Emphasize safety precautions to be taken in all training provided.

• Demonstrate best methods of modifications and retrofit kits related to F-16 systems.

• Render technical advice to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems. Provide consistent analysis of maintenance difficulties. Provide advice on the establishment of maintenance, inspection and training programs designed to improve the quality of maintenance, recommending changes as applicable.

• Provide liaison through which information related to maintenance and operational problems, available in the manufacturer's plant, can be quickly disseminated to operations and maintenance personnel.

• Provide training on the use and interpretation of applicable technical orders. Provide advice as requested to assist in accident investigation and preparing failure data reports and unsatisfactory reports.

• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate customer requirements as needed.

**Selected candidate must pass an overseas physical. Must be a US citizen. Must have at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years combined of F-16 avionics systems/subsystems and APG (Aircraft General) experience or will accept 12 years F-16 combined avionics systems/ subsystems and APG experience without a degree.

• Experience with US Air Force (USAF) Maintenance Procedures at the Organization and Intermediate Levels.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

• Experience working with Foreign Military Customers.

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

• Good Communication Skills, Oral and Written, Good Organization Skills.

• Familiar with F-16 Avionics Integration, General Aircraft Mechanical (APG) System and Weapons System.

• Familiar with all Blocks F-16.

• Familiar with Common Configuration Implementation Program (CCIP) modified F-16 aircraft.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
