Lockheed Martin Environmental Chemical Technician in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: Operate Ion Exchange System per standard operating instructions. Check regeneration or resins by measuring specific gravity with hydrometer. Check quality of rinse water with conductivity and/or pH meters.
Perform emergency chemical spill response and spill cleanup activities as required.
Operates equipment and vehicles for purpose of transporting chemicals, hazardous waste materials and waste metal sludges within the reservation.
Must be certified by proper authority for waste treatment operations including respirator. May be required to be licensed under local ordinances and/or Federal and State laws. Requires education in chemistry and/or previous related experience.
Responsible for assuring that wastewater discharged meets federal requirements ensuring that it does not exceed discharge limits.
Must be able to pass required annual physical.
Must be able to wear half and full-face respirator to perform job task.
Able to work 1st, 2nd , or 3rd shift.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have 1 Semester of College Chemistry w/ Laboratory and waste water experience or 2 Semesters of Chemistry w/ Laboratory.
Experience with operating a pH and Conductivity Meter.
Experience with mixing and pouring chemicals.
Experience with a Forklift.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Wastewater Operations.
40 Hour HazWoper Training.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
