Cook Children's Healthcare Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Coordinator in Fort Worth, Texas

The Cystic Fibrosis Nurse Coordinator functions as a member of the Pulmonary multidisciplinary team in the delivery of comprehensive care to patients and families, including, but not limited to those diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. The Cystic Fibrosis Nurse’s responsibility to patient care extends from admission to discharge and subsequent follow-up visits/home communication. Under the direction of a board certified pulmonologist, the CF Nurse collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care, care coordination and education. This position will primarily provide services to patients 0-21 years, including neonates but can provide services to patients over 21 years of age in the adult CF population when needed. This position also participates in the CF Foundation re-accreditation which includes assisting with the required document submission and coordination of affiliate center site visits. The Cystic Fibrosis Nurse will assist the program director with the completion of the annual grant application, including but not limited to; updates of team information, progress since previous year, goals for coming year and QI activities.


  • Masters degree in nursing required

  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience is required

  • License to practice nursing in Texas

  • CPR – BLS required
