Job Summary

The Assembler will be responsible for using blue prints to assemble aluminum pontoon boats. This position may be placed in any of the following areas: Fence Assembly, Fence Fabrication, Fence Install, Railing and Decking, Wash Tank, Tube Roller or Rub Rail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions

  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately

  • Use a variety of electric and pneumatic hand tools

  • Visually inspect and/or audit units for quality. Discuss quality issues with lead or supervisor to resolve problems.

  • Keep assembly area clean and work area organized

  • Assist other team members when schedule and responsibilities allow

  • Must effectively communicate with co-workers and leaders

  • Assist in training of co-workers as needed

  • Seek positive solutions to issues and problems

  • Maintain a high standard of conduct and comply with company policies and procedures

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow engineering prints

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business

  • Experience using basic hand and small power tools including drill, saws, sanders, measuring tape, level, etc.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts

  • Demonstrate basic computer skills
