Parkview North Hospital Manager Site Distribution in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summary: Responsible for the direct management of SCORe distribution staff in one or more hospital locations.This position manages the SCORe OR activities for the PRMC campus. This includes PRMC OR, North OR, Ortho OR and Premier. Manages the functions of receiving, inventory management and distribution. Evaluates SCORe functions for effective utilization of staff and resources. Takes timely corrective action as needed. Assures proper and economical use of equipment, supplies and facilities. Is responsible for the setup and maintenance of the distribution systems throughout areas of responsibility. Assures that scheduled staff are adequate and appropriate to meet customer needs. Performs the duties of any position in the department as needed. Assures that quality and customer service standards are met. Travels between facilities as needed or required.

Education: Must be a graduate of a two year Associate's degree program; or obtain within 3 years of employment; or have the equivalent of 4 years experience in a comparable job. Prefer Bachelors degree in business or related field.

Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid Indiana state drivers license.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience; and prefer a minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience. Experience with inventory/materials systems preferred. Supply experience within the OR/clinical environment strongly preferred. Good communication, management and leadership skills with ability to effectively deal with all levels of employees. Knowledge of various inventory control methods and distribution or warehouse management solutions (WMS) preferred. Demonstrates ability to analyze information effectively and consistently; and to complete assignments within established timelines and under general supervision. Must be willing/able to work flexible schedules in order to meet the needs of the operation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
