JOB TITLE: Laborer SUPERVISOR TITLE: Crew Leader JOB DESCRIPTION: Mutton Rental Center, Inc., an equal opportunity employer, located at 1818 Lakeview Dr, Ft Wayne, IN 46808, Phone (260)432-8636 seeks to hire 6 laborers for temporary, full-time employment. Laborers will follow supervisors verbal or written instructions to move party rental equipment (primarily including tents, chairs, tables, and decorative items) to and from storage areas; load and unload equipment on and off delivery vehicles; assemble and disassemble equipment at worksite locations; and clean and sort equipment. No educational degree or prior experience is required. Laborers must be able to perform general physical activities requiring considerable use of hands, arms, legs, and the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials, for the entire length of the workday. Work schedule is dependent on customer needs, typically with start times from 6:00 am. to 8:00 a.m. and ending times from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and laborers will typically work Monday-Friday, obtaining 40 or more hours per week. Work on Saturdays or Sundays may be required depending on customer needs. Minimum age of 18. Workers are needed to begin work on 4/01/2024 and work through 11/30/2024. Laborers will report to work at 1818 Lakeview Dr, Ft Wayne, IN 46808. They will travel daily to worksites in surrounding areas including parts of Northeastern and Central Indiana, Northwestern Ohio, and Southern Michigan. The employer will provide laborers with daily transportation among worksites at no charge to the laborer. Travel may sometimes require overnight stays near worksites; the employer will provide reasonable housing to laborers, typically in the form of a hotel, at no charge to the laborers. Workers will be paid no less than $17.87 per hour. Overtime hours may vary depending on customer demand and will be paid at $26.81 per hour. The employer will provide on-the-job training in how to perform all job-related tasks. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (biweekly) by direct deposit to the worker's bank account or to an employer-provided paycard. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pickup location at 1818 Lakeview Dr, Ft Wayne, IN 46808. Employer will then provide the work crew with daily transportation among the worksite locations in surrounding areas, potentially including parts of Northeastern and Central Indiana, Northwestern Ohio, and Southern Michigan. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees.) The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-wee period of the total employment period.
