Parkview North Hospital Call Center Agent -Medical Assistant in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summary

Using excellent customer service skills, answers incoming lines in order to assist patients and companies and other contacts involved in POHC care to meet the needs of the companies and patients. Maintains professionalism, courtesy and confidentiality at all times. This position requires the ability to repetitively answer a high volume of phone calls each day. Works with other team members to achieve call center and organizational goals in order to provide quality patient service.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must be enrolled or graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program; or must have worked as a medical assistant for the last 3 of 5 years; or work experience in Parkview Occupational Health for the last 12 months.

Experience

Experience in understanding the usage of computers, including Microsoft. One year of direct customer service contact experience or both clinical and clerical experience in occupational or employee health setting preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to type 40 WPM with 98% accuracy. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, courteous and professional manner and exhibit quality vocal skills through speech rate, volume, enunciation, and pronunciation. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi- functional team. ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment. Demonstrates the ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
