Currently, we are looking for a Manager, Business Development - SMB to join the ArcBest team. The Manager, Business Development - SMB is responsible for the productivity and growth of a customer sales team. The Manager, Business Development - SMB builds and develops a highly effective sales team focused on new customer acquisition and revenue growth. This position coaches and mentors their team to meet and exceed sales metrics, while building strategies to land and grow new customer accounts. The Manager, Business Development - SMB oversees the activities and performance of your sales team through goal setting, KPI management, and leading on-going training.

Your contribution may include:

  • Develop, coach, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives

  • Mentor team members while monitoring performance and managing sales strategy

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Work with reps to identify areas of opportunity throughout sales process

  • Support high-level customer and organizational strategy to foster portfolio growth

  • Track, analyze, and manage KPIs to drive rep and team strategy

  • Analyze reporting platforms and CRM software

  • Other duties and projects, as assigned

As a Manager, Business Development - SMB, you will be a member of the ArcBest Sales team at the MoLo Solutions headquarters, located in the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago, with a team focused on growth, relentless commitment to customer service, and an inclusive work culture. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years third-party logistics industry experience, preferred

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
