Maintenance Fuels Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsible for replenishment, monitoring and maintaining appropriate fuel levels of an above ground fuel farm. Must possess a strong knowledge of fuel industry standards and requirements for maintaining a large bulk fuel dispensing and above ground storage facility. Ensures that usage calculations, service times and amount for tank fillings are maintained and forms completed. Reviews and validates for accuracy all fuel receiving or shipping documents. Periodically inspects samples of fuel, checks gravity and flashpoint. Reviews information on water in tanks, temperature, and fuel levels. Monitors reports that show preventive maintenance and repairs on terminal systems have been performed. Effectively manages GSA fleet to include scheduling required maintenance services. Responsible for the monthly upload of GSA mileages to for statistical purposes and FAST (Federal Automotive Statistical Tool) reporting. Maintain and issue GSA credit cards for daily fuel transactions. Responsible for supervising employees. Conducts regular safety briefings and ensures HSE standards are maintained. Plans, organizes, and leads day to day activities of shop maintenance. May be responsible for performance reviews, disciplinary actions and assisting the manager in hiring/firing/promotion decisions. High school diploma, Associate Degree required. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Five years of related work experience with at least 3 years in a lead/supervisor capacity role required.

Roles and Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

· Must be a U.S. Citizen.

· Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance and ma a Secret clearance and maintain it for the duration of your employment on this contract.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

· Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Requires at least 3 years of related work experience.

· Must possess a strong knowledge of fuel industry standards and requirements for maintaining a large bulk fuel dispensing and above ground storage facility.

· Must possess a valid State Driver’s License.

· Must comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.

· Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.

· Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs. – 50 lbs. periodically.

· Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.

· Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

· Military background preferred - USMC MOS equivalent 1391 Bulk Fuel Specialist.

· Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Good oral and written communication skills.

· Previous or current CAC card holder preferred.
