Job Description:

11th ABN DIV (ARCTIC) provides individual, crew, and collective training using a variety of digital tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to provide individual training at the soldier level as well as the planning and execution of simulated combat exercise scenarios to support crew and collective training up to the Division level. These simulated training exercises are supported by the facilities digital and communications architecture to provide realistic and challenging scenarios ranging from Stability Operations to Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).

HOW THE CBT INSTRUCTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Conduct operator and sustainment instruction across the suite of Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) with special emphasis on the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS). Provide MCIS support for individual and collective training events in support of unit training objectives. Maintain documentation of training and ensure Program of Instruction (POI) reflects most recent training requirements.

  • Coordinates logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes, reserving classrooms, and preparing workstations.

  • Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.

  • Will participate in the development and establishment of course content and objectives.

  • Updates course documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced instructors.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience : Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the operation and training of MCIS with special emphasis in the AFATDS system, to include troubleshooting and support. Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software. Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills.

Education : AA and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Clearance: Secret clearance

Unique/Additional Requirements : May be required to travel to support military exercises.
