Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Fort Myers, FL for a Fiber Optic Splicer. The Fiber Optic Splicer will be responsible for splicing fiber optic cables and ensuring that all work is done safely, accurately, and efficiently. The Fiber Optic Splicer must be comfortable working outside, at heights, and in all weather conditions. They must be able to communicate effectively with the team and management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with fusion splicing and mechanical splicing
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting fiber schematics, designs, and engineering plans
  • Must be able to handle physically demanding work and work in outdoor and challenging environments
  • Must be able to follow all safety regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Fiber optic certifications and training are a plus
  • Travel maybe required
