Sandy Park Development Center provides support for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. We do this through community involvement and participation as well as enrichment opportunities throughout their life. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:

For purposes of effective communication with residents, families, and staff. This position directly supports the Behavior Unit Manager and other department heads in completing designated quailty behavior task, as well as participating in quality improvement projects.

Essential Duties:

Assist each department heads as needed in the organization and development of required documentation.

Developing individualized Behavior-Change programs with client-specific goals and outcome measurements, develop interventions using research based, scientific tactics

Conduct functional Behavioral Assessments and Learning Needs Assessments

Ensure care coordination with internal and external treatment providers.

Provide consistent communication with direct care professionals, parents/legal guardians and behavior management professionals.

Develop and conduct team meetings with nursing, CSS/DSPSs, and Behavior Manager to prepare for monthly meeting with Doctor.

Required Qualification:

Board or Florida Certified Associate Behavior and Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience conducting assessments: VB-MAPP,ABLLS, FBA.

Proficient with using computer.

One year professional experience working with the developmentally disabled.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master's Degree/BCBA certification and one year professional experience working with developmentally disabled.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60,000-$80,000 per year

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent sitting, walking, and standing.

  • Repetitive motions with the hands.

  • Ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist.
