Dinklage Feed Yard Yard Maintenance in Fort Morgan, Colorado

Education / Experience High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands Employee is required to wear all safety PPE relevant to the mill safety procedures and requirements. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus

Wage: $15 - $20 Depending on experience

DAYS/HRS.: Full Time Permanent Must have the ability to work weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for flaking all corn for the feed yard, receiving all corn, receiving all alfalfa and whatever other commodities are necessary.

Monitors quality of incoming corn and reports any issues to Supervisor.

Performs daily quality control tests on flake moisture, silage moisture, flake weight, flake cook, conductivity testing, and softness testing.

Maintains all flakers, boilers, and moisture systems to produce the best flakes.

Performs preventative maintenance by carrying out maintenance tasks on all mill and batching equipment; reports any maintenance issues to Supervisor immediately.

Participates in daily housekeeping including cleaning of all the mill areas.

Performs seasonal cleaning of grain bins.

Teamwork and efficiency are expected as well as assisting in various departments of the feed yard when necessary.

Follows all Dinklage safety policies, procedures, and keeps up to date with safety regulations and requirements.

Professionalism is expected including courtesy and respect to team members, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications Experience operating heavy equipment.

Ability to understand safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
