POSITION: Utility Locator

REQUIREMENTS: You are at least 21 years old and have either a HS Diploma or equivalent

You're able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, walking & standing for long periods

You're comfortable working in an environment requiring changing plans/directions

You're proficient with a computer and are quick to learn new technology

You can lift up to 75 pounds

You can work year round outside in all elements

You're able to pass all pre-employment checks, including substance screen, criminal background, and motor vehicle record checks

You are able to travel as needed, including overnights, if location warrants

You have a passion for accuracy and a keen eye for detail

You're able to work on your own, using strong time management skills

You're able to interact professionally with people having different skill levels

WAGE:$20 - $23/hr.

DAYS AND HOURS: Full time, days and hours to be arranged with employer,and plenty of overtime opportunities.

DUTIES: As a Utility Locator, you will assist in preventing damage to our network and disruption of service to our customers. Your job will be to locate, identify and mark underground utilities before and during contractor construction.

What you'll do:

Perform accurate and safe locating of underground utilities, including telecommunications cable/fiber

Prioritize and plan activities in order to ensure maximum efficiency and timely completion of locates

Read and understand locate tickets and the ticketing system

Communicate with other team members and have strong communication with Contractors and homeowners

Be on-call at times for emergency locates, which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays

Drive to job site in various locations throughout your assigned region
