Jacobs Technical Consultant 2 (Senior System Engineer)- TS/SCI with Poly in Fort Meade, Maryland

Your Impact:

Provide Sr. Systems Engineering and Technical Support to the Zero Trust Implementation. The candidate will work with existing ICAM capability teams to define requirements, develop architecture, and design documentation, perform technology assessments, and support risk mitigation assessments. The candidate is expected to provide hands-on support for managing configurations, assisting with installation troubleshooting, and cloud technologies. The candidate is expected to provide technical expertise in industry, federal, and DoD standards/policies as well as create and maintain ICAM Zero Trust documentation to include release notes, installation and user guides, frameworks, SOPs, and plans in accordance with Zero Trust mandates. Other duties include researching and analyzing cloud security environments, assisting with Risk Management Framework and DoD accreditation packages and documentation, identifying capability gaps and enhancements for current ICAM services, defining implementation processes, and outlining hardware and software considerations. Must be able to assist the software developers with tracking and defining requirements, sprint planning/scheduling, design input/changes, and testing support.

Responsibilities:

Provide unique expertise to guide the assessment of IT system objectives and concept of operations; Guides the identification of top­ level systems requirements; prepare high-level systems architecture in terms of hardware, software, database, and telecommunications components.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Experience with Software development methodologies.

  • Ability to solve complex system/integration problems.

  • Experience briefing senior-level management.

  • Demonstrated engineering experience on programs with requirements, functional analysis, and allocation, conducting system requirement reviews, developing CONOPS and system architectures.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in working with Software Development, Test Engineers, and System Administration teams to establish capabilities that meet requirements.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and brief technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Experience with developing program review materials.

  • Experience with Confluence and Jira.

  • Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI standards.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple applications are being developed and deployed simultaneously.

  • Must be able to adapt quickly to change and react to unexpected results.

  • Must be self-motivated and must be able to work well within a team environment, be organized, and multi-task.

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI Full scope Polygraph

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of Technical Consultant (TC) experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Five (5) years of additional TC experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of fifteen (15) years.
