We are seeking aResidential Painterwho will be responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential homes. As a Painter, you will assist in making residential homes move-in ready. Every day, you-ll be creating the best possible experience within our residential communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide interior painting of all walls in all rooms, previously painted floors in storerooms, patios, and carports, exterior patio walls (walls inside screened in patios), exterior of all exterior doors or doors that exit outside from the dwelling and ceilings on a case-by-case basis.

  • Provide exterior painting on all surfaces exposed to the weather as required.

  • Mask and cover as required to protect adjacent surfaces.

  • Prepare all existing drywall to receive paint.

  • Ability to perform minor drywall patching/mudding/sanding to prepare for paint.

  • Mix, carry and apply paints to walls, ceilings, and trim.

  • Clean, protect, move materials, tools and equipment.

  • Erect ladders and scaffolding

  • Support multiple residential sites within military installations

  • Ensure follow through on assigned maintenance tasks using in-house assignment system and respond to time-sensitive maintenance needs

  • Coordinate with other service providers

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times

  • Adhere to PPE requirements at all times

  • Ability to work from heights with an understanding of safety requirements for that work

  • Other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Completion of a painter apprenticeship program or 1+ year in the painting trade working under a journey-level painter preferred.

  • Knowledge of Paints - urethanes, epoxies, and enamels along with an understanding of the hazardous materials within

  • Punchlist experience

  • Completion of OSHA 10, or ability to complete

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel

  • Enjoy dealing with people

  • Willingness to do non-trade specific items

  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

  • Willingness to always follow safety guidelines.

  • Strong understanding of basic math

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Painter pay range: $22- $26 per hour.

  • Actual pay depends on education, experience, and performance.
