Competitive Range Solutions, LLC Requirements Evaluation and Design (RED) Team Lead in Fort Meade, Maryland

Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Requirements Evaluation and Design (RED) Team leader to assist in directing and managing the program's executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team.

The RED Team Lead is key in focusing on the critical assessment and design phases of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for IT infrastructure and network architecture enhancement. This position involves leading a team that evaluates network requirements, develops technical solutions, and ensures the design meets customer needs and government standards without increasing costs. The RED Team Lead will work closely with DOD customers and other stakeholders to navigate the complexities of system upgrades, network modernization, technology refreshment projects, and more.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in assessing customer-submitted network requirements through a government-provided service ticketing application.

  • Guide the team in providing necessary support to DoD customers for the articulation of their network needs.

  • Direct the design process for ECPs, ensuring that proposed IT infrastructure and network architecture changes are robust, cost-effective, and compliant with existing standards.

  • Manage the development of technical solutions that align with project types defined in the ECP Catalog.

  • Act as the primary liaison between the project team and DoD customers to clarify requirements, discuss technical solutions, and address negative project execution challenges.

  • Ensure regular customer communication, especially regarding hardware-based requirements and delivery timelines.

  • Oversee the creation of project documentation, including Change Requests, ECP Waiver Requests, and Status Reports.

  • Implement project management best practices within the team to meet deliverables' timelines and quality standards.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions to meet complex project requirements. Foster a culture of continuous learning and adaptation within the team.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a meticulous approach and under tight deadlines.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

  • 5+ years as Lead Project Manager

  • 5+ years in DoD IT environment

  • Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities

  • Proficient in preparing detailed cost estimate reports.

  • Proficient in relevant software tools, including MS Office

  • Proven self-management and team-management skills.

  • Must possess expert managerial, leadership, and communication skills.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer sciences, business management, or related field (Required)

  • Master's degree (Preferred)

  • PMP (Minimum)
