SOLUTE Careers 1388 - AISR DT SETA Lead Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland

Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in network engineering, network architecture, and network systems as they pertain to real time data transport across Wide and Global Area Networks. The engineering and architecture background must have relevance with multicast User Datagram Protocol (UDP) as well as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and be able to programmatically manage global operational network fix actions, integration efforts, technical insertion roadmaps, and the optimization of transport infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is familiar with Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance systems as they pertain to the Department of Defense, Air Force, and US Special Operations Command. In depth familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency and an understanding of requirements process, acquisition, and execution.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of previous experience with UAV, satellite terminals, ground-based satellite broadcast/multicast architectures, network engineering, cybersecurity, and network operations.

  • Experience leading a geographically separated team of engineers

  • Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure), PMP, CCNA, Security + is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study.

  • In lieu of a master's degree, a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued TS/SCI security clearance.

  • A clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CCNP

  • CCIE

  • CISSP

  • PMP

Essential Job Duties (not all inclusive):

  • Lead Engineering planning efforts across the AISR DT ITF/program office and coordinate with Program Offices and gaining units to deliver capabilities across the AISR architecture.

  • Assist DoD AISR Platform program offices with the assessment, analysis, and development of communications capabilities and payloads.

  • Seek out and evaluate emergent technologies to determine their relevance and applicability to the AISR DT Architecture.

  • Develop technical artifacts to support testing and operational activities and inform development of strategic roadmaps, basing actions, and CONOPs/CONEMPs.

  • Quantify risks and establish COAs relating to technologies for SATCOM, LOS spectrum, terrestrial backhaul, and administrative networks.

  • Coordinate within the DoD and Combat Support Agencies to identify duplicative efforts and/or partnership opportunities. Additionally, maintain awareness of any positive or negative Enterprise effects stemming from proposed efforts or changes.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 annually.
