Job Requirements include:

  • Work safely and follow all HWMI and OSHA safety requirements
  • Efficient in General Fabrication:
    • Efficient welding in SMAW
    • Read Basic Engineering Drawings and Prints

``` - - Able to use all fabrication tools - plasma and cutting torch, grinders, tape measure and layout tools (levels, combination square, scribes, plumb bob, wrap-o-round, centering head, sheet metal gauge, etc.) - Fabricate small and large weldments from prints or from old/broken parts - Efficient in GMAW (Mig)

``` - Drive a fork truck - Work with lead fabricators and other machinists to coordinate work and projects - Work without direct supervision at all times - Perform any job management sees fit (cleaning, helping move equipment, etc.) - Help keep shop clean and jobs moving (Help assist in loading/unloading material, assist in shop cleaning and organization, etc.)

Other Desirable (Not necessary) Skills include:

  • Efficient welding skills in GTAW in Carbon, Stainless and Aluminum
  • Efficient in Brazing / Silver Soldering
  • Ability to operate cutting machines (CNC Plasma, Tracecutter)
  • Ability to work on jobsites - installation and repair of equipment / On-site fabrication and welding
  • Valid Drivers License to Drive Company Vehicles to On-site jobs

Physical Requirements:

  • Note: The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, helmets and hearing protection is utilized daily
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver up to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions
  • This is a 40 hour per week job with occasional mandatory overtime
  • Exposure to heat and cold depending on weather conditions
  • This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, squatting, bending, handling materials, and standing for at least 8 hours consecutively (other than breaks and lunch)
  • Climbing on ladders, working on scaffolds to assemble structures or working in confined spaces, may be required at times
