Job Description:

Deputy Program Manager

The Deputy Program Manager will support the Sr. Program Manager in performing complex administrative and analytic tasks in support of a Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Joint Intelligence Brigade (JIB)

BACKGROUND

The JSOC program provides comprehensive, actionable, intelligence services to USSOCOM through a pool of resource personnel (250+ FTEs) across the intelligence functional spectrum including, but not limited to: All-Source Intelligence, Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Targeting Intelligence, and Socio-Cultural Analysis (SCA). This position will manage that staff that perform SOF-specific strategic, operational, and tactical multi-layered analysis in support of Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (IPE) for military and humanitarian missions in any Area of Responsibility (AOR) world-wide. This position will also manage the intelligence expertise on the operations and methodology of Violent Extremist Organizations (VEO), Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCO), Special Interest Aliens (SIA), Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), Integrated Deterrence and other emerging threat priorities.

HOW A DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Serves as the Deputy Program Manager, supervising a large, Joint Intelligence Operations program in support of JSOC global operations.

  • Provides expert support to the customer through facilitating solutions in response to complex problems and emergent mission requirements.

  • Manages task order performance and executes oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel in support of this Task Order; to include administrative components (i.e. scope, schedule, costs) as well as personnel management of the contracted workforce (i.e. staffing, training, professional development)

  • Assists the Program Manager in support to the customer Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officers Representative

  • In conjunction with the Program Manager, provides technical, administrative supervision and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to the Task Order

  • Provides guidance, leadership and mentorship throughout the contracting team, to include to less-experienced contractor personnel

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas required by the customer

  • Supports contracted workforce CONUS and OCONUS rotations and/or deployments.

  • Performs additional duties as required.

  • Travel may be required for this position.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of seven (7) years managerial experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies managing programs of similar size, scope and complexity.

  • Experience in special operations intelligence disciplines and/or significant knowledge of special operations.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification

  • Current Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligible

  • US Citizenship

Desired Experience:

  • At least three (3) years at the operational level of warfare experience preferred.

  • Understanding of the Intelligence Cycle and Production Requirements, Knowledge pertaining to the Area of Responsibility (AOR)

  • Ability to communicate across a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Understanding of SOCOM and Theater Special Operations Commands Intelligence Directorates and/or the DoD National Level IC / military services

  • Location: Customer Site – Ft. Liberty, NC
