Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Machinery Maintenance Mechanic joining our team to be an Automotive General Mechanical Maintenance.

HOW A MACHINERY MAINTENANCE MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Performing maintenance and repair services including, but not limited to, fault diagnosis, removal, and replacement of line replaceable units (LRUs), Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), screening, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, retrograde, installation of systems, customer support, calibration, and alignment for all C5ISR systems and associated support equipment.

  • Provide maintenance support shall primarily be at the Services and minor Sustainment level, less depot level (as defined by AR 750-1) in mechanical automotive, generator, and to a lesser extent electronical support, and some environmental control unit repair.

  • Perform the necessary services and maintenance to keep vehicles and generators, ECUs, etc., or other mechanical equipment in operational readiness condition.

  • Perform services. repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment.

  • Installs, maintains, and repairs minor service and motors and generators.

  • Replaces fixtures, fuses, indicators, sensors and makes minor electrical installations.

  • Installs and maintains cooling system components, piping, traps, valves, gauges, pumps and other accessories and fittings.

  • Primarily supports hardware family – Vehicles, All Sizes (Military Standard); Heavy Expandable Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) Series, (M977, M984, M1075, M1120, M1158); Family Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV) Series, (M1088, M1078, M1079), High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Series, (M1151, M1113, M1165); Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Series (M1278, M1279, M1280); Power Generation: Generators, All Sizes (Military Standard); Generators, Commercial; MEP-802A 5KW Tactical Quiet Generator (TQG); MEP-803A 10KW Tactical Quiet Generator (TQG); MEP-831A 3KW Tactical Quiet Generator (TQG); MEP-831A 2KW Tactical Quiet Generator (TQG); MEP-806B Generator; Guardrail (RC-12); Operational (Intel) Ground Station (OGS); Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS Specializes in supporting Generators, All Sizes (Military Standard). Capable of supporting hardware and servicing family Environmental Control Units (ECUs), All Sizes.

  • Supports customer maintenance requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance, and/or repair activities

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma and 6 years' experience

  • Required Technical Skills: Trained in US Army Military Vehicle Maintenance Heavy equipment and lower.

  • Security Clearance Level: Secret Security Clearance Required.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: US Army Military Vehicle Maintenance.

  • Location: On Customer Site

  • US Passport must not expire for at least two (2) years.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $28.40 - $42.60. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
