Natives of Kodiak Construction Superintendent- Leavenworth, KS in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

We have an awesome opportunity for a seasoned Superintendent in Leavenworth, KS.

The great news is that the KOMAN Construction team is growing! We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our team. The Superintendent will supervise project sites and subcontractors and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, with safety as the priority. Job duties also include monitoring project budgets, schedules, resources, and equipment.

This Leader will have the opportunity to experience the following:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs.

  • Set and achieve performance goals and deadlines.

  • Proactively plan and execute construction processes.

  • Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget.

  • Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback.

  • Monitor and report on project progress.

  • Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.

  • Implement, monitor & ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines.

  • Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.

  • Keep track of material stock and orders, site delivery coordination, acceptance, off-load, inventory & storage.

  • Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.

  • Resolve and/or respond appropriately to on-site issues and emergencies. Effectively communicate with management on all issues requiring next-level engagement.

  • Assist with developing proposals and bid strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years’ prior construction management experience is required.

  • Completed or have the ability to complete OSHA 30-hour safety course within 30 days of employment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical power distribution projects and requirements.

  • Experience with civil projects and requirements.

  • Experience with design-build projects and development.

  • Experience in Federal Government projects, specifically DOD contracts.
