Jacobs Transportation Project Manager - Aviation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

As a vital member of our Aviation team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects where we’ll depend on your expertise, intuition, and leadership with planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects. You’ll be considered an expert within our Aviation discipline. You’ll grow professionally with us as we rise together on impactful airfield projects with a high degree of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design and construction services. You’ll be leading a multidiscipline design team of site civil (Runway/Taxiway/Apron), drainage, electrical/NAVAID, public involvement and environmental staff to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets. Your leadership expertise will be utilized through mentoring and supervising less experienced engineers and/ or technical support personnel assigned to projects.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating all design activities, implementation of client design standards, development of contract documents - drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and equipment sourcing documents, design reviews, value engineering and quality management. You’ll be responsible for developing strong client relations through daily communication, meeting preparation, attendance, documentation, and regular reporting of task and project status. Additionally, you’ll serve as a liaison between clients, agencies, subcontractors and design teams. You’ll connect with clients and support proposals, helping to advance our business development strategies. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.   • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Previous experience successfully leading design/construction teams on new and/or renovation aviation projects in excess of $5M

  • Professional Engineer License (P.E.)

  • Good listening, writing and communication skills

  • Able to present data in an organized fashion

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Demonstrated experience working on successful projects with public agencies

  • Progressive experience as an engineer and project manager in the airfield design field

  • Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars

  • Knowledge of airside and landside design, planning aspects and facilities
