Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Photo Technical & Operations to join our team. This is a hybrid position and will be based in our Fort Lauderdale office. In this role you’ll work closely with onboard Photo Managers, Photo Regional Managers and Business & Brand Directors to provide ongoing critical support with day-to-day operations, and systems management aimed at maximizing P&L results, achieving annual revenue goals and providing an outstanding onboard guest experience. You’ll have decision making authority on systems and workflow functionality, as well as responsibility for working with on board managers to solve issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of the overall onboard Photo operation as it pertains to business continuity and revenue generation and technical operations. Includes oversight of Photo spaces such as Galleries, Labs, Portable Studio locations, Photo Studio Program etc.

  • Consumables & Retail support - Inventory review (ship & FDC), vessel issue investigation & resolution. Addition & removal of SKU’s

  • System support - Creation of new SKU’s. PLU’s, recipes for CT, mPay, Centrics, & ONCO plus ongoing maintenance & removal

  • Equipment support - PITS review per ship, plus updates, depletions, transfers, additions/deletions. Recommendations for new/updated equipment, replacement backdrops and props etc.

  • Oversight of shipboard audits and associated action plans performed by Photo Dept Regional Managers

  • Oversight of onboard equipment and systems, including camera, studio, lab equipment and related software systems and workflows.

  • Works with corporate photo team and tech teams to investigate and recommend improvements and updates to current photo related systems, workflows and processes, in line with technology advancements, to improve efficiency and create streamlined workflows and business practices.

  • Creation and management of tech and systems related SOPs and training materials

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering professional growth and development.

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Support the Director, Photo Operations, Senior Manager, Photo Operations & Revenue and the Manager, Photo Operations Technology & Innovation in ensuring that the overall goals of the department are being met in terms of meeting revenue goals, business continuity, and guest service expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of shipboard photo operations experience, including at least 3 years as a Photo Manager/Regional Manager (Preferred)

  • Proven track record of managing revenue generating businesses.

  • Photography business management and analytics skills

  • In depth knowledge of Photography fundamentals, equipment, and software.

  • In depth knowledge and significant hands-on experience with Photo lab production, systems and workflows.

  • Experience in systems development and management

  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based and high pressure environment

  • strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Multi-tasking and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

This is a hybrid role, based in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. Candidates must be driving distance and comfortable going into the office 3 days per week.

  • Base Salary Range: $83,200-$112.300. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
