FirstService Residential Door Staff (Part-Time; Evening Shift) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Job Overview:

As a Doorman, you'll be entrusted with independent responsibility and the need for strong communication, telephone etiquette, and exceptional customer service. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Your primary duties include welcoming and assisting residents, checking guests and service providers in and out, and adeptly managing emergency response and access control procedures. Additionally, you'll operate and monitor electronic security systems while diligently maintaining accurate daily logs and records.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary customer service, showcasing strong communication and time management skills.
  • Monitor the Emergency Response System and act swiftly in emergency situations.
  • Welcome and guide residents, guests, and invitees courteously.
  • Operate and oversee Electronic Security Control Systems.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies.
  • Control and monitor building access.
  • Maintain meticulous daily logs, records, and forms.
  • Address and follow up on complaints and issues effectively.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment within the premises.
  • May undertake additional duties as directed by the property manager.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to uphold a secure work environment.
  • Fulfill any other duties as required, including organizing packages.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent; college-level courses in business or hospitality are advantageous.
  • Ideally, have two to three years of business experience.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, especially information system hardware/software, is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is beneficial.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting 30 – 50 lbs.
  • Able to maintain an upright standing or sitting position for extended periods.
  • Skilled in handling, finger dexterity, grasping, and lifting objects and packages.
  • Proficient in reaching with hands and arms.
  • Effective communication through spoken and written means.
  • Swift navigation of the property/building as required for job functions.
  • Completion of all necessary forms.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to respond promptly to emergencies.

Schedule: Friday - Saturday; 11PM – 7AM
