SUMMARY:Responsible for the following aspects of the port/terminal facilities, including yard operations, stevedoring, and terminal operations. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for vessel scheduling, coordination and integration with other departments. Conduct customer tours and sales calls as requested and coordinate service requirements for them both directly and indirectly. Develop vessel operating performance standards and ensure standards are implemented. Ensure all operations are in compliance with all local and federal entities and environmentally sound practices are communicated and followed. Responsible for Terminal Operations including Stevedoring and Yard Operations. Responsible for interaction with vessel operations, other Terminals, and the GM of Port Everglades for scheduling, and Damage Prevention, Quality, and safety initiatives. Ensure all operations are in compliance with all Local and Federal Entities (OSHA, EPA, USCG, DOT, etc.), and all Crowley policies and procedures. Maintain a sound relationship with union officials, stewards, and employees through proper administration of all policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement. Responsible for overseeing and participating in hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline of personnel. Responsible for an annual budget of more than 30M, including investigations, and details of variances. Responsible for the review, verification, and approval of all major expenses related to Terminal and Port Operations in accordance with SFA structure. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, transportation or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education. EXPERIENCE:5-10 years of related operations experience. 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management position. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Smart Sheets and a Terminal Operating System Platform. COMPETENCIES:Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. OTHER: Bilingual (English/Spanish) will be beneficial. Valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) credential is required. Subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check to obtain your driving history. JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments. WORKING CONDITIONS:Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures.
