Job Summary

Area Supervisor

Role Overview:

The Area Supervisor oversees housekeepers and floor technicians, conducting field audits, and ensuring compliance with company standards and key performance metrics. This role involves training and developing employees, managing operating plans, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new hires and manage job assignments.

  • Maintain operating plans and training records.

  • Assist with timekeeping and supply orders.

  • Conduct internal audits and quality inspections.

  • Interact with customers and provide leadership for staff.

  • Perform floor care tasks such as VCT and carpet cleaning.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA requirements.

    Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of loss prevention and safety practices.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle complex instructions and interact effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Basic computer and smartphone skills.

  • Familiarity with floor care equipment.

    Qualifications:

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Creole is a plus.

  • Experience in a healthcare environment.

  • Valid Florida Driver’s license.

  • 5 years industry experience; 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Physical capability to lift 45-50 pounds and operate floor care machines.

    Supervision:

  • Receives general supervision from an Area Manager.

  • Supervises all assigned employees within the designated portfolio.

    Additional Information:

  • The position requires flexibility in scheduling.

  • This position will require the use of a company vehicle to travel to different sites

    Physical Demands:

  • Effective use of sensory skills for communication and equipment operation.

  • Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, and handling equipment.
