SAIC Front-End Web Design Analyst in FORT KNOX, Kentucky

Description

SAIC is seeking a Front-End Design Web Analyst to join our team in Fort Knox, KY at Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Directorate .

The qualified applicant will be responsible for the following:

  • Manages electronic media to maintain clean, organized, information structure on the JROTC public facing website (usarmyjrotc.com) using HTML5, JavaScript, and PHP.

  • Assists JROTC instructors with placing JROTC cadet news, recognition, photos, and video content on the public website.

  • Maintains JROTC Directorate SharePoint page, migrates JROTC SharePoint content during platform updates, builds SharePoint apps, and manages permissions and access.

  • Partners with JROTC staff to create new interactive website features (instructor pay calculator, ribbon rack organizer, vacancy list map, etc.) and content updates.

  • Provides technical support and problem resolution for JROTC Instructors (by phone or utilizing web-based support tools).

  • Coordinates with Cadet Command G6 Directorate to solve automation trouble tickets and remediate public website vulnerabilities.

  • Conducts formal software training for JROTC Unit Management Software (JUMS) and the JROTC public website during JROTC School of Cadet Command (JSOCC) with class sizes of up to 35 JROTC instructors.

  • Creates and maintain JUMS video help tutorials on usarmyjrotc.com, the virtual JSOCC JUMS course in Blackboard, and in-person JUMS curriculum and training resources.

  • Provides graphic design support to JROTC Directorate and JROTC instructors.

  • Coordinates with Cadet Command PAO to create JROTC website content and digital media including photos, advertisements, and articles.

  • Creates videos using Adobe Premiere for JROTC website, Blackboard, Kaltura, and the Cadet Command YouTube channel.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to employment; must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance to maintain employment.

Required Skills:

  • Expert WordPress development and configuration experience.

  • Experience creating custom WordPress plug-ins using HTML, JavaScript, PHP.

  • Front-end web development and coding experience.

  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.

  • Background with 508 compliance and government website policies and best practices.

  • Content management experience (text, photo, embeds).

  • Experience reviewing photo and text content for public release

  • Experience reviewing content for confidential material, classified material, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

  • Strong understanding of website cybersecurity best practices.

  • Strong teaching and public speaking skills for classroom and virtual training environments.

  • Experience managing, troubleshooting, and teaching database systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Vulnerability Disclosure Program (VDP) experience.

  • Public affairs experience.

  • Experience with graphic design for websites, logos, brochures, posters, and other digital and print media projects.

  • SharePoint administration experience.

  • Microsoft 365 experience.
