Description THIS IS A 1ST SHIFT POSITION Participate in quality teams and cross-functional problem-solving teams. Maintain chemical inventories for pretreatment and wastewater. Work directly with the Coatings Engineer and Paint Area Manager(s) to update procedures and work instructions that fulfill the needs of the customer and quality and environmental standards. Maintain compliance with all quality and environmental standards and policies. Verify certified calibrations for all test equipment and return for calibrations as needed. Utilize SPC to track compliance to pretreatment specifications. Process and document waste water releases applicable with regulatory requirements. Maintain housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Maintain and document control of process to prevent defective products and meet customer specifications. Other duties as assigned by the Management Team. Maintain compliance with all OSHA requirements. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program for washer spray equipment, to optimize performance and reduce downtime. Control spray nozzles settings for accurate spray patterns. Document and maintain applicable records. Identification and prevention of defective materials, parts and maintenance items. Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. Treats all other team members with respect and dignity. Performs other essential functions as assigned.
