SOS International LLC Senior System Administrator (Windows) in Fort Huachuca, Arizona

Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator in Fort Huachuca, AZ . The ideal candidate will be responsible for Windows Desktop activities related to installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations, both physical and virtual, in support of business processing requirements.

Essential Job Duties

  • Possess a detailed understanding of desktop services to include Windows 10 Operating Systems, Active Directory, VDI concepts, VMware Horizon View, VM AppVolumes, Network Policy Server (NPS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

  • Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.

  • Schedule installations, upgrades, and maintenance in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.

  • Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

  • Build and sustain systems in accordance with all IA controls.

  • Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.

  • Develops, updates, and provides evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.

  • Mentor Junior personnel.

  • Provide overall direction and guidance to assigned project managers.

  • Prepare activity and progress reports regarding all systems analysis and programming sections.

  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.

  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Participate in special projects as required.

  • May collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and Leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope SECRET w/T5 investigation or the ability to obtain an Interim SECRET w/T5 eligibility

  • HS +6 years of experience, AA/AS +4 or BA/BS +2, to include up to three years of hands-on Windows system administration

  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required

  • Must acquire Microsoft server specific certification (ex. MCP 70-410 or AZ-900 or 98-365) or higher within 180 days of hire

  • Experience with Server 2012 R2 administration

  • Experience with physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) systems

  • Knowledge of client/server hardware and software configuration

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues

  • Ability to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems

  • Knowledge of networking concepts

  • Ability to create and/or modify scripts (batch, PowerShell)

  • Ability to document technical troubleshooting efforts

  • Proficiency with Windows Active Directory services

  • Familiarity with McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)

  • Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs and IAVAs

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundations Certification

  • Be able to effectively communicate with team members and customers

  • Work independently and as a team member; set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines

  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
