SOS International LLC Network Senior Subject Matter Expert in Fort Huachuca, Arizona

Overview

This position is contingent upon award of contract

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Network Senior Subject Matter Expert at Fort Huachuca, AZ in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Network Senior Subject Matter Expert reports to the WAN Team Lead and is the escalation point for critical issues within the entire WAN Team. This individual serves as the thought leader for WAN problem resolution, new technology insertion, service improvement initiatives.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

  • Analyze network topologies, traffic, and capacity requirements.

  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.

  • Orchestrate maintenance to support network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.

  • Configure, test, and maintain WAN equipment and related services.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.

  • Analyze data and multi-media communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.

  • Leads the integration of new technical solutions and platforms into the DoDIN-A.

  • Resolve interoperability problems to facilitate operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, etc.

  • Configure systems to user requirements.

  • Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.

  • Develops, updates, and provides evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.

  • Support hardware and software acquisition as well as operation and maintenance of the hardware and software on the servers.

  • Support implementation plans of new configurations for insertion and integration into the network.

  • Provide input on specifications for network interfaces to ensure effective integration and optimal network performance.

  • May administer network security and/or maintain network security appliances.

  • Work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.

  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network engineers and other technical staff.

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.

  • Participate in special projects as required.

  • Actively collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and Leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance or the abililty to obtain an Interim Top Secret with SCI eligibility

  • HS +12 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS +10, or BS/BA +8

  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required

  • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist OR Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate

  • CSSP-IS Certification

  • ITIL Foundation Certification

  • Knowledgeable in the mission and operational requirements of the U.S. Army

  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements and an advanced understanding of U.S. Army IT applications and network systems

  • Expertise in management and control of complex information systems architectures involving multiple disparate databases, networks, and communications subsystems

  • Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Network Management, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, National Security Strategy, or a related field

  • FedVTE

  • ITILv4 Certification

  • Detailed understanding of the Army Unified Network Plans
