TISTA Science and Technology Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Fort Huachuca, Arizona

Overview

TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking to hire aKey Management Infrastructure (KMI) Subject Matter Expert (SME)to work on-site at Fort Huachuca, AZ. A top-secret clearance is required. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The candidate will provide support for Emerging cryptographic and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI). The candidate will provide operational COMSEC expertise to the Government on the use of emerging technology and cryptographic solutions; especially in the areas of EKMS / KMI. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance. Daily duties will include:

  • Assist in the review, analysis, and reporting to the TM the adequacy of Key Management Plans (KMPs), COMSEC Doctrine, COMSEC policy, COMSEC procedures, and other relevant documents, with respect to current and future Army COMSEC operations.

  • Attend meetings as requested on both existing and emerging Army cryptographic systems, to include the (KMI). Provide up-to-date Army operational guidance to ensure new technology insertions into the Army do not conflict with current Army operational doctrine or procedures.

  • Assist in the research and determination of the impact of emerging technology, security technology, and other similar issues to EKMS / KMI. Provide recommendations regarding implementation of existing and emerging technology concepts.

  • Participate in testing activities to ensure that EKMS Tier 1 software updates and other existing and emerging programs such as KMI are ready for deployment to the Army COMSEC community. Assist CSLA personnel in organizing and managing test events to ensure procedures are followed and all required documentation is complete.

  • Upon request of the government, provide input to NSA KMI Capability Increment 3 (CI-3) planning efforts. Assist CSLA government personnel in identifying any technical gaps or current challenges with EKMS/KMI Tier 2/MGC operations that could be addressed by the CI-3 development. As KMI CI-3 will be a contracted development effort, a CI-3 specific NDA will be required for this support.

    The candidate will work independently under general guidelines or objectives. Possess advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include systems engineering, network engineering, acquisition management, business process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, and support or program management. Manages a single system acquisition program/project or major functional area. Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under his/her management. Establishes objectives and requirements. Develops budgets. Develops program/project standards and schedules. Monitors outside resources. Has experience or extensive knowledge with the processes and procedures relative to the functional area. Coordinates, reviews and supervises work of assigned staff. Reviews/oversees the preparation of all related documentation. Conducts program reviews, meetings, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Five years of relevant experience.

Must have an Associate’s Degree.

CompTia Security+ CE or other IAT Level II certification.

DOD Secret Clearance with ability to get a Top Secret clearance.
