The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Data Security Analysts – Senior to support our government customer located in Fort Gordon, GA.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist in the administration of an effective Cyber Security program that involves providing management of organizational risk advice, guidance, and assistance.

  • Remain abreast on changes to Joint, DOD, and Army doctrine as it pertains to cyber security and risk management. Stay current on up-to-date IT news regarding network security and future trends in Cyber Security (ex. cloud computing security).

  • Provide all necessary support, including documentation, task coordination, artifacts, eMASS entries, ACAS Scans, STIGs, Log analysis, and other actions necessary to support approved CCoE G6 TSPs and ATOs this includes successfully passing all cyber security inspections (No Notice, CCRI, DAIG, OIP, PII, PIA, Cyber Awareness month, TRADOC, etc).

  • Maintain the Training Networks security posture by ensuring delivery and compliance of continuous monitoring (ACAS scans) and STIG application/compliance.

  • Ensure that pre and post-accreditation mitigation occurs and is conducted after each scan is run and STIGs are reviewed. Within 15 days of a CAT I finding a mitigation is executed and for CAT II/III finding the mitigation is completed within 45 days.

  • Ensure that any findings which are placed on a POA&M and are tracked.

  • Provide Cyber Security expertise, including supporting feasibility studies, technical evaluation, justification, acquisition/procurement, installation, implementation, management, and administration of IT systems including virtualized infrastructures and systems (ex. VMWare and Virtual Technologies and OpenStack). This includes technical support and cyber security incident reporting to Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM) and Information System Security Officers (ISSO). The report of lost/stolen/compromised SI/PII/or other cyber security incident is reported to the ISSM and/or to leadership within one (1) hour of discovery.

  • Synthesize system requirements, identify and assess alternative solutions, and prepares the recommendation in either document and/or briefing format.

  • Present options to the customer for implementation. Sample expertise includes the preparation of security policies, security plans, user's guides, system administrator guides, and network security design documents for submission to Government approval authorities.

  • Ensure that pre and post-accreditation mitigation occurs and is conducted after each scan is run and STIGs are reviewed. Within 15 days of discovering a CAT I finding, within 30 days of a CAT II finding, and within 45 days of CAT III finding, those findings are either remediated or mitigated with POA&M submitted for risk acceptance, or if applicable POA&Ms are submitted for risk acceptance if finding cannot be remediated or mitigated within prescribed timeline.

  • Ensure all POA&Ms are tracked through completion. All STIGS (where applicable) are reviewed once per area/per device.

  • Provide periodic monthly surveillance of POA&M and CAT I/II/III review (ACAS) and for STIGs all devices/systems. The requirement is to track, review, and update all STIGs either as needed or as Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) issues quarterly updates to ensure 100% of STIGs are compliant and/or findings are mitigated with approved POA&Ms within prescribed timeline.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION :

  • Must be Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) CSSP Analyst certified with at least one (1) baseline certification: CEH; CFR; CCNA Cyber Ops; CCNA-Security; CySA+ **; GCIA; GCIH; GICSP; Cloud+; SCYBER; or PenTest

    • Must possess or be willing to complete trainings in ACAS, SIEM, and eMASS (or equivalent training)

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

  • At least 2 years in IA technology or a related area.

  • Must be available by phone or email from 0730-1700, Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the government facility is closed for administrative reasons.

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE :

  • Must be a US citizen.

  • Final Top Secret with SCI eligibility (cannot be interim).
