Poudre School District Tutor After Hours Program - Blevins Middle School in Fort Collins, Colorado
Information specific to this position: Blevins Middle School is specifically looking to hire instructors that can help support our after-school program, Bruin Club.
Positions available are a support instructor to work Monday - Thursday from 2:30pm - 5:30pm and a lead instructor to work in our video announcement club Monday - Wednesday from 3pm-4:45pm. This position will run through April 18th, 2024, with the possibility continuing to work in programs during the next school year, 2024-2025. Work days and schedule will vary depending on instructor availability and preference.
Pay Range: $18.72 - $20.97 hr (min - 12% above min) - no license required

Duration of position: Remainder of school year with the possibility of continuing to work in programs during the next school year, 2024-2025.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing positive, enriching, and safe after school classes for students at PSD Title I sites (Bauder, Harris, Irish, Laurel, Linton, or Putnam). These classes can include but are not limited to crafts, science, sports, music, and STEMfocused clubs. With approval of the program coordinator, after school classes can be developed to fit the interests and experience of the instructor. Description of Job Tasks
Implement lessons by teaching and creating a positive, enriching, and safe environment for all students enrolled in the class.
Maintain active supervision of students to ensure safety and awareness of student whereabouts during all class times and until all students are with their parent/guardian.
Utilize positive, respectful, and appropriate strategies when interacting with students and other staff.
Conducts positive, respectful communication with on-site facilitator and program coordinator to relay relevant information regarding students, class plans and supplies, and other information.
Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
Plan and prepare appropriate lessons with detailed descriptions of how to implement the activity and the required supplies prior to classes starting.
Manage and modify lesson plans, supply requests and organization, and classroom set-up and clean-up based on student and class need.
Attend appropriate in-services, staff meetings and trainings, and/or school functions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES:
High School Diploma or completion of G.E.D.
No experience required. Experience working and leading activities with children ages 5-12 years preferred.
Criminal background check required for hire
Valid Colorado driver's license preferred
CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
