Numerica Corporation Internship - Embedded System/FPGA Engineer in Fort Collins, Colorado

Numerica Corporation is a fast moving, high-tech company with deep expertise in cutting-edge information science.   We are inviting talented college students to apply to our 2024 Summer Internship Program. Selected candidates will work alongside Numerica scientists to bring advanced capabilities to our innovative product lines.   Successful candidates will be able to perform the duties and responsibilities described below:

 

REQUIREMENTS:

+ + Coursework in digital logic, signals and systems and digital communication preferred.

  • Experience in FPGA development:  VHDL or Verilog

  • Experience in C+

    • Experience with RF Electronics
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verilog/VHDL implementation of radar signal processing algorithms

  • Verilog/HDL implementation of radar state machine; control A/D converters, variable gain amplifiers, etc.

  • C++ programming of ARM on Program advanced Radio Frequency System-on-chip (RF-SOC) device to implement radar functionality.

    At the end of the program, interns will be asked to write a report and present a summary of their work. Preference will be given to junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students.  

    U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

    Due to the nature of the work performed at Numerica, all applicants must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance. At a minimum, this requires that a candidate be a U.S. citizen with a personal history indicating trustworthiness, reliability, and sound judgment (e.g., clean criminal record, no use of illegal drugs, etc.).

    Intern Pay Range:

  • $30.21 to 47.14 per hour, depending on years’ education and experience
