Job Summary: ASO is looking for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to work in Fort Cavazos, TX. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.

  • Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required.

  • Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves.

  • Rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.

  • In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.

  • Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years motor vehicle maintenance experience.

  • Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.

  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain a CAC.

  • Ability to bring and use own tools.

  • High School Diploma / GED.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 year’s maintenance experience preferred.

  • US Army MOS 91/63 series qualification.

  • Experience on US Army tactical vehicles.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • CDL Preferred.

  • ASE Certified Preferred.

  • HVAC EPA Tech Cert 608/609.

  • Emergency Vehicle Technician Certified ASE Certification.

Pay Rate:

  • Hourly Compensation: $21.67
