SQL Server Database Engineer Senior – TS/SCI required

HOW A SQL SERVER DATABASE ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Coach and provide guidance to SQL DB team

  • Propose test plans and interface with external groups, developers, and application owners to arrive at optimal solutions.

  • Maintains the integrity, security and availability of multiple instances and databases

  • Duties include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, and monitoring of Availability Groups and Distributed AGs.

  • Experienced with migrations Create policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database, e.g. SSP documents.

  • Evaluates and recommends available database management system (DBMS) products

  • Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements

  • Performs SQL Server and other DBMS database and application server administration

  • Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes

  • Coordinate and develop database backup, storage, and replication schemes across the customers’

  • Develop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience

  • Required Skillset:

  • Performs SQL Server and other DBMS database and application server administration

  • Seasoned and experienced with PowerShell (DBATool), STIG, TSQL

  • Direct the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems including:

  • database performance optimization

  • developing/changing database indices, and index maintenance

  • redesigning database structure

  • reloading data into a database

  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Certification(s):

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract

  • IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification -Sec+CE or equivalent

  • Required Computing Environment certification: MCSE Data Management and Analytics [MS SQL Server] Exam 70-762 or Exam 70-464, or Exam 70-465, or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

  • Location : On Customer Site

  • US Citizenship: Required

  • Additional :

  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

  • Travel may be required to support the mission
