JOB REQUIREMENTS: RESPONSIBILITIES: Interacts in a professional manner with clients, staff and visitors Patrols buildings and grounds of Opportunities Inc. to identify and assess situations they may affect the Security and Safety of the organization Protects life and property of the Organization and its community Reports any unusual or suspicious activities and inappropriate use of the organization facilities or property Responds to emergencies or preliminary investigations of incidents in a timely manner, including but not limited to, medical / psychological / emotional emergencies, natural disasters, trespassing, theft, vandalism, threats of violence and disturbances Identifies the source or cause of the problem, handles it effectively, and coordinates with appropriate organization administrators or public officials Work with all departments to enforce effective policies regarding parking, building security, alarm systems, and control and facility access Will respond to all incidents while on duty and assist as needed with documentation of the incident Performs other similarly related duties as assigned or required REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent Background in security, or military preferred Important Skills Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for the position of security supervisor so subordinates know how to do their jobs and what to be on the lookout for.
