WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Production Manager is a key position in our Fontana branch. This position develops and monitors the production workers' performance and leads to a positive working environment. This position is one of the key management members that ensures the safety of all employees. Oversees and participates in the manufacturing of products as determined by production schedules, forecasts, and work orders.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll primarily work with the production team.

Wage Range: $95,000-$110,000 Annually

A highlight of your day-to-day will include:

  • Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan plant operations. Works with the Plant Manager and General Manager to forecast labor, special projects, revenue generation, and profits. Reviews production reports, time sheets and Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy. Coordinates shift work plans with employees and Supervisors/Foremen

  • Leads the activities of employees; provides assistance to workers engaged in production activities; troubleshoots workers and production problems and recommends solutions. Engages in interactive communication. Trains workers in production methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Monitors comprehension and re-trains, as necessary.

  • Ensures continuous improvement, process improvement, and quality of products and services. Reviews manufacturing processes and operating reports to identify possible solutions to processes that can reduce costs, ensure quality, and prevent operational delays. Understands and follows standard operational and working practices (SOP) and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards directly or through Supervisors/Foremen. Interfaces with internal customers and, when required, external customers to ensure needs/goals are being met.
