You owe it to yourself to find out what Ahern has to offer! We are hiring a Logistics Intern in our Fond du Lac headquarters starting in Summer 2024. How you will contribute: You will be involved in a variety of projects and tasks within our Logistics and Fleet operations. While some activities will include day-to-day execution activities, the intent would be to also provide a mix of projects that could include the creation of operational dashboards and reports, evaluation of electronic logging devices for our fleet, analyzing GPS system data and vehicle utilization and maintenance trends.Typical day-to-day activities may include scheduling Ahern trucks and third-party carrier deliveries to job sites, assisting with coordination for less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, scheduling and tracking maintenance and repair activity on Ahern delivery trucks and trailers, and communication with drivers, shops, and other key stakeholders. What you need to qualify: Qualified candidates will be current students in a Supply Chain-related Program at a four year university. You should have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
