Who We Are

Client Graphics, GPU IP, and AI (CGAI) is responsible for delivering leadership GPU IP to all of Intel’s business units and market segments. We develop specialized IP for the NPU and deploy AI technologies across Intel’s hardware to support the client AI Strategy. Our Intel Arc graphics portfolio delivers stunning visuals, supercharged graphics, and boost AI and media processing workloads.

Who You Are

The Client Graphics and AI group (CGAI) is looking for a GPU Performance Validation Engineer to develop performance tests to measure key Architectural metrics across our Graphics IPs. These tests are crucial in measuring the accuracy of our graphics performance simulators, RTL/emulation models, and silicon; and help identify unexpected bottlenecks in our HW IPs and SW/Driver.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Development, Delivery, and Execution of Performance Test Content

  • Accurate measurement and post-processing of key performance statistics across multiple environments

  • Development of automated triage scripts to assist in performance bottleneck analysis

  • Working with Architecture/Design teams to debug and resolve any performance test failures.

  • Creation of detailed indicator charts showing current health and long-term trends of our models

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 1+ years' experience of programming skills in C++, Python, or Ruby Languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Computer Architecture/Design

  • Excellent understanding of 3D/Computer Graphics architecture and technology.

  • Experience with Graphics Design, Validation, and Performance Analysis.

  • Experience with DirectX/OpenCL or other Graphics APIs

  • Experience explaining complex technical concepts.

  • Skills with data analysis and debugging.

  • Experience with RTL design and debug.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $92,847.00-$148,355.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
