Foundry Services, an Intel Foundry organization, is seeking a passionate System Software Development Engineer who will become part of a team of software engineers in the organization. This team is responsible for delivering high-quality software tools for system/IP validation. Your responsibilities may include analyzing, designing, writing, testing, debugging, and/or modifying software across multiple layers of the software stack spanning drivers, operating systems, frameworks, and applications. The team provides a dynamic, agile and supportive work environment with many opportunities to learn, grow and contribute to the success of Intel Foundry.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet the requirements

  • Utilizing modern software development methodologies and design principles to develop reliable and scalable solutions

  • Working effectively with team members and stakeholders to collaborate and develop effective solutions

  • Creating and running test suites to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of the tools developed

    • Providing expert level support to end users and maintaining clear and timely communication with customers and stakeholders
The ideal candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent team player and collaboration skills
    • Self-motivated, tolerant of ambiguity, and eager to learn

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Qualifications:

Master of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 1+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • 1+ years' experience with software development using C/C++ and Python.

  • 1+ years' experience with software debug tools like the GNU Debugger (gdb).

  • 1+ years' experience with GIT source code version control system, and familiarity with GitHub or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of computer architecture concepts and hardware/software driver interactions.

  • Experience developing test software and libraries to validate USB.

  • Experience developing bare metal test frameworks and content for System Level Emulation.

  • Experience with automation, regression testing, quality control, and agile methodologies.

  • Experience with software architecture, device driver programming and multithreaded programming.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $106,231.00-$159,109.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
