Job Description

Responsibilities of the role include, although not limited to:

  • Responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, fabrications, of design circuitry, electromechanical systems, or specialized test equipment

  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work

  • May perform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment Assignments are semi routine in nature Work performed within generally defined parameters.

  • Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have Class test environment or semiconductor lab environment.

  • Candidate must have a high school/equivalent degree and 8-10 of experience, -OR- an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology / IT or related field and 3-6 years experience -OR- a Bachelor's degree 0-4 years experience.

  • Must be willing to lift up to 30 lbs, approximately once a week and walk around 50 ft

  • Willing to wear closed shoes all day

  • Willing to push carts once a week for at least a distance of 500 m

  • Willing to perform detailed visual inspection task

  • Knowledge of SQL and Database Administration

  • Understanding of ATE architecture and product life cycle of semiconductors

  • Experience with the maintenance of test equipment

  • Experience with operation of test equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience on HDMx test and robotic handler equipment; including analytical aptitude and mechanical debug skills

  • Experience working with ticketing systems and responding to customer requests.

  • Experience with managing High Value Inventory

  • Performing maintenance on PCs and associated hardware

  • Experience in computer software (Microsoft Office and data base entry)

  • Strong Programming (C++, SQL, Java)

  • Project management skills

Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.
