As a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff or Fellow in AI Memory Systems Architecture, you will lead and be responsible for architecture exploration and definition of novel, tightly-coupled memory systems with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and yield working at the intersection between workloads, domain-specific architectures, memory systems, and heterogeneous integration. You will be part of a growing team of domain experts across platforms, systems architecture, component architecture, design, and advanced packaging. You will apply your deep knowledge of compute architecture and memory systems to drive optimizations enabled through advanced packaging. We encourage collaboration with technical partners across multiple domains in our effort to build the best memory systems in the world.

Our Expectations:

  • Extensive technical leadership experience with high-performance memory architectures, memory subsystems, and algorithms, including reliability, yield management, security, and scheduling.

  • Experience driving and documenting architectures in close collaboration with peers and collaborators.

  • Experience evaluating systems performance and value propositions with real workloads and use cases, whether through systems simulation tools or through emulation.

  • A history of building and driving deep, collaborative technical engagements with partners.

  • Ability to influence decisions through data-driven systems analysis.

  • Strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills.

  • People leadership experience.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience creating architectural specifications.

  • Experience with high efficiency architectures and designs.

  • Experience with domain-specific architectures (NPUs, GPUs, or other accelerators).

  • Experience leading sophisticated system-on-a-chip (SoC) architecture efforts.

  • Experience with SoC design in a modern process node.

  • Solid AI inference and training systems experience.

  • Experience with 2.5D memory systems, like HBM.

How to Qualify

  • A Masters, PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • 15+ years of proven experience.

  • A track record of sustained innovation from pathfinding to product.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$183,000.00 - $355,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
