Drive semi-truck with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. Drive long distances and transport motor vehicles from one location to another. Ensure safe loading of the vehicles onto a specialized trailer, abide by traffic laws, unloading and delivery at destination. Report any incidents encountered on the road to dispatcher. Inspect trailer before and after trip and record any defects found. Maintain a log of working hours, following all federal and state regulations. Maintain truck and transport trailer in good working order and make sure they meet safety standards and weight restrictions.
